Saint-Astier® ESDS

Assessing the environmental and health impact of our solutions, taking into account their entire life cycle.

What are they for?

Environmental and Health Declaration Sheets (jointing pegs) provide essential information about finished construction products that are placed on the market. Verified and governed by strict standards, environmental declarations make it possible to assess the environmental and health impact of a product by taking into account its entire life cycle: from the extraction of raw materials to the end of its life, taking into account transport, installation on building sites and the use of the product itself.

This data can help guide you in your choice of materials, in a clear and transparent way.

Environmental performance is the major regulatory development of the RE2020, which introduces the calculation of a building’s impact throughout its life cycle. Environmental performance data sheets have become an essential part of these regulations.

The Saint-Astier teams provide support and technical advice to building and construction professionals on a daily basis, so it was important for us to provide you with our environmental and health declaration jointing pegs to help architects and project managers make the best possible choice of materials on site.

Which Saint-Astier solutions are concerned?

The information provided in our individual Environmental Product Data Sheets is based on data measured during on-site application. This is an additional guarantee of confidence, enabling you to use real, concrete data on the performance of our lime solutions.

How are our ESDSs created?

  1. Data Collection: We collect detailed information on the raw materials, manufacturing processes, use and end-of-life of our products. This data is collected and analysed on site.
  2. Lifecycle Analysis (LCA): We carry out a complete lifecycle analysis of each product to assess its environmental impact at every stage.
  3. Drafting and checking: Our dedicated technical team drafts the ESDSs in accordance with current standards. Each jointing peg is then checked by an independent verifier to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  4. Availability: The ESDSs are available on our website and can be downloaded free of charge. We encourage our customers to consult these documents to better understand the impact of our products.

Why use ESDSs?

  1. Making informed choices: Understanding environmental data enables you to make more responsible and sustainable product choices, favouring those that have the least impact on the environment.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: Reading environmental data helps to ensure that products comply with current standards and regulations, avoiding penalties or legal problems.
  3. Carbon Footprint Reduction: By analysing the environmental impact of products, it is possible to reduce the overall carbon footprint by opting for greener materials and manufacturing processes.
  4. Health and Safety: Environmental data provides information on potentially harmful substances present in products, making it possible to protect the health of users and workers.
  5. Transparency and Trust: Transparency on environmental impacts strengthens the trust of consumers and our partners by demonstrating our commitment to offering sustainable natural lime solutions.
  6. Innovation and Eco-design: better understanding the environmental data of our solutions stimulates our innovation in eco-design and makes us want to continue to offer more environmentally-friendly solutions.
