An invitation to look at matter and colour

Enter the warm, refined world of lime colours…

Understanding the immense possibilities of colour in the implementation of architectural projects and interior/exterior fittings is part of the daily work of the Saint-Astier® teams. Colour, materials and textures reflect our cultures, our architecture and the identity of our towns and cities. We pay particular attention to them in our restoration and renovation projects, and even in our innovative solutions.

Find the right shade for your projects

Are you looking for a particular shade or texture for your exterior facades or interior walls? Choose from the 54 colours in the CHAUX COLOR® colour chart.

We can also create your own customised shades, thanks to a colour palette of over 900 shades.

The vast majority of colours can be reproduced as finishing coats in CHAUX COLORÉE®, lime mortar or BADILITH®, the famous traditional lime plaster coating.

Accurate colour reproduction

The final shades of your plaster coatings may vary slightly from this colour chart, Role :

  • The type of product chosen, its grain size and the quality of the local sand,
  • Application conditions,
  • The type of finish chosen (smoothed or trowelled finishes will appear lighter than rustic or scraped finishes).

*The plaster coatings marked with an asterisk have a solar absorption coefficient that exceeds the limit of 0.7 imposed by DTU 26.1, so they cannot be used for waterproofing. Dark colours accentuate shading or efflorescence. In addition, they increase the thermal stresses of the supporting walls.

Note: the colours presented on this web page are only a guide to choice and in no way reflect the final colour or appearance desired. It is therefore necessary to make a sample to validate the shade.
