- From 8° to 30°C: for natural lime and façade mortars.
- From 5° to 30°C: for formulated limes and other technical mortars.
Sands used for rendering or mortar must meet certain characteristics defined below: :
Once the rendering is complete, dampen it to improve setting. For very hot weather or strong winds, we advise you to keep the finished coatings fresh by spraying them moderately for 48 hours after application. These renderings will need to be damp by nightfall (façades may need to be tarpaulin-covered).
If rendering is applied to roller shutter casings, these must be prepared in line with their Technical Approval.
When using lime mortar and/or lime/cement mortar to seal tiles, it may be necessary to incorporate a cement resin into the mortar, as the tiles may be heavily water-repellent.
Please Note :
The choice of sand is crucial to the uniformity of the colour and appearance of the rendering. The sand required to build the structure should be stored in one go.
Lime is a caustic product when used as fresh mortar for whitewash. Take care to protect metal surfaces (zinc, aluminium, etc.) while it dries and carbonates.
